About Housing York Inc.
Housing York Inc. (HYI) is the Regional Municipality of York’s housing company. HYI’s rental portfolio is comprised of 36 properties built from the early 1960’s through to 2019. The 2762 units are offered with a mix of market and subsidized rents. Throug partnerships with a broad range of community agencies, HYI offers supported housing, assisted living programs and a variety of programs and services for residents. HYI also owns and maintains the Region’s emergency and transitional housing facilities for youth, single men, single women and families.
