We offer over 7,300 housing units within six housing portfolios and administer approximately 2,500 rent supplements. Our vision is to be the leading affordable housing provider in Canada supporting individual and community well-being with a focus on achieving positive tenant outcomes. We meet tenant needs through our varied housing programs, which include:

  • Low end of Market Rental housing (approx. 10% below market rates)

Our building management strategy is in a transformation with towards less reliance on government subsidy and a growing mixed-market housing portfolio. The City of Calgary leads development and regeneration of affordable housing managed by Calgary Housing Company and is implementing a comprehensive 10 year development plan to increase the supply of housing by 1000 homes which will be managed by Calgary Housing Company. Development activities include: modest gentle density stacked townhomes, large townhomes, transit-oriented development opportunities, large family homes, integrated condominium and non-market housing, intermunicipal facilities with libraries, recreation centres and fire stations and regeneration developments and multi-generational housing.
