About M’akola Housing Society
M’akola Housing Society is the largest Indigenous affordable housing provider in BC, serving 5,000 family members.
M’akola has a diverse portfolio of homes for families, Elders and seniors, and singles and couple including apartment buildings, townhouses, single family dwellings and assisted living facilities. M’akola manages more than 1,600 homes serving both Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.
As an Indigenous affordable housing provider M’akola prides itself on its partnerships with Indigenous communities across BC and Canada. These relationships guide the organization to serve tenants, staff and neighbouring communities in a respectful and inclusive way.
