About UTILE
UTILE is a social enterprise dedicated to developing and operating non-profit student housing. Since 2020, it has delivered 750 units and currently has 800 more under construction, scheduled for completion in 2026 and 2027.
Supported by a team of 50 professionals—many with decades of private-sector experience—UTILE is recognized for its rigorous cost and schedule management, consistently delivering projects on time and within budget.
Its expertise has earned UTILE recognition as a Frequent Builder by the CMHC and as a Qualified Developer by the Société d’Habitation du Québec (SHQ). UTILE is also the first developer to secure portfolio financing from the City of Montréal for the construction of 800 units.
